We were a little wary of Cocina Latina. The outside isn’t the most inviting and we hadn’t heard anything about the restaurant but we decided to give it a try for lunch. We were definitely happy with our spontaneous decision and would be glad to come back! Above is the Enchilada Lunch Special with red and green sauce, $7. The special comes with rice and beans. The enchiladas were smothered in light, delicious sauce and sour cream- I would order these again.
Above is the Taco Lunch Special with roasted pork, $5. The lunch specials include either chicken or pork (any other choice of meat is full price). Each taco came with a good portion of carnitas, cilantro and onion. I added extra mild and habanero salsa as well. The corn tortillas were warm and slightly fried- quite a nice little wrapper! We also ordered chips and salsa, $2.99, which were by far some of the better chips I’ve had in this town. They freshly fry cut tortillas and serve a large dish of them with 2 types of salsa- cold, mild chunky salsa and a thinner spicy habanero salsa.
