Hong Kong Noodle is a popular hangout for students and teachers and David and I love it. It looks like just another hole in the wall Chinese restaurant but David and I have found it to be both authentic and crowd pleasing, affordable, consistently delicious and generous with their portion sizes!
Above is the lunch special of Tofu with Vegetables. All lunch specials come with rice, an egg roll and soup. Huge portions, right? Lunch specials are served up Mon-Fri 11am-3pm. We love to get lunch specials and substitute noodles for a dollar extra!
Chinese broccoli with Oyster Sauce, $9.95. Although this vegetable dish is on the pricier side, they give you a massive amount of broccoli! It’s perfect to share with 4-6 people.
BBQ pork and wonton noodle soup, $7.95. A savory chicken broth, egg noodles, pork and little meat filled wontons.Above is the Korean Style Seafood Hot Pot, $14.95. Definitely give this little place a shot. It’s our go to Chinese restaurant! Apparently they’re moving to Bloomington soon so either try it in Dinkytown or when they move farther south.
